Our Berber Brothers wish you...

Berber Brothers

Happy Holidays and a Harmonious New Year!

May We Prosper Together in 2005...

Since there are only 10 days left before 2004 draws to a close, we would be remiss if we did not ask you sincerely to make a year-end contribution to the Levantine Cultural Center. Let's make this center bigger and better next year by starting now! Your contribution can be in any amount and you can use our online page to give electronically, or mail checks to Levantine Center, 8424A Santa Monica Blvd., N. 789, West Hollywood CA 90069. All contributions are welcome.

Another way to support our work is to take out membership. Most people choose the $120 per year formula, which includes a free CD or book gift (up to $25 value) and two event tickets to an upcoming show (up to $80 value). Those on more modest incomes join at $60 per year and receive member discounts.

Whether you would like to make a contribution (and do so before Dec. 31) or become a new member, we very much look forward to seeing you in the new year.

Please contribute now in 2004, before the end of the year, as a new member, or as a new sponsor. Give as much as you can reasonably afford—our Berber Brothers will be so happy, and so will we, because we can do so much more to bring you great programs! It's only floos! Share your abundance with us and meet great new people, enjoy amazing music, listen to passionate speakers, ponder new perspectives, "do" peace one on one, and make a difference by joining us in our dream of building a cultural center unlike any other in the world! One where we are all welcome, where we come together across every imaginable boundary, circumventing the hijinks of religion, nationality, politics or plain old stubborness that keeps us separated and suspicious of each other.

Levantine Cultural Center is for artists and art lovers, for writers and readers, for the musician, dancer and comedian in each one of us. Levantine stands for inclusiveness, multiculturalism, acceptance, exploration, diversity, and union.Whether you are an Arabic, Farsi, Hebrew, Turkish, Kurdish, Armenian, French, Spanish or Berber speaker—or want to become one—you'll find in our public gatherings genuine opportunities to expand your horizons each month. A Friend membership is just $120 per year (that's only $10 a month!), and a basic membership for those on more restricted budgets is just $60 per year ($5 a month). For those with larger portfolios, please join at higher levels. Every membership includes special gifts of books, CDs and event tickets.

We look forward to announcing many special new programs and events in 2005, and with your financial help, the only limitations are our own imaginations!

The conflict between Israelis and Palestinians has become one of the most important issues facing the world today — yet what do we really know about the conflict beyond the bloody issues on the nightly news? Few other issues fuel so much global tensions and violence — but how many of us have met someone who lives the terror everyday?

The exhibition runs through January 8,, 2005
at the Sherry Frumkin Gallery, Studio 21, 3026 Airport Avenue, Santa Monica Airport, Santa Monica 90495. Ph. 310.397.7493.
