No Borders: by Anna-Marie Lopez de LeonThis eclectic event benefitting Doctors Without Borders includes a silent art auction with work by dozens of contributing artists including Anna-Marie Lopez de Leon, and performances by the Middle Eastern-jazz fusion group Saffron Parade Arabesque Band, Tehran’s heavy metal band TarantisT, belly dancers, deejays and much more. Pic Vicious and Killsonic will perform later in the soirée.

TarantisT: the heavy metal band from Tehran, IranThe first 500 guests receive a free, signed copy of public art, featuring Gustavo Alberto Garcia Vaca, Danny Setiawan, Lidya Tchakerian, Alice Dean, Vera Arutyunyan, Ryuta Nakajima and more. The art also covers the text of the book Bombardirovka, a novel set during the disintegration of the Soviet Union and the war between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Art Knows No Borders is a public art, literary, music, and relief event spearheaded by Crystal Allene Cook to raise awareness of the effects of war, ethnic conflicts, and genocide on present and subsequent generations, in particular the stalemate struggle between Armenia and Azerbaijan over Nagorno-Karabakh.
The main event happens 7-9 pm and music goes on throughout the evening.
