Shohreh AghdashlooShohreh Aghdashloo is an Iranian-American Hollywood actress who was nominated for an Academy Award for her role in the film "House of Sand and Fog." She has also starred in "X-Men" and "House of Saddam" among many other film and television roles. Aghdashloo was born in Tehran in 1952 and left after the Iranian revolution. She studied journalism in London and also pursued theatre. She eventually came to Los Angeles for acting and is considered a pillar of the Iranian community here. Maz JobraniMaz Jobrani is a much-beloved Iranian-American comedian who has been featured on Comedy Central along with his "Axis of Evil" comedy troupe, as well as Levantine Cultural Center's show "Sultans of Satire." Most of Jobrani's jokes focus on racism against Iranians and Arabs while also poking fun at his own ethnic group. His jokes have helped to dispel stereotypes about Iranians, Arabs, and Muslims and appeal to a wide audience, not just Middle Easterners. Most recently Maz Jobrani has been on tour with his own one-man show "Brown and Friendly." You've also seen him in a number of feature films such as "The Interpreter" and theatre roles including "Homebody, Kabul."
