Micheline Aharonian MarcomMicheline Aharonian Marcom, Acclaimed Lebanese Armenian American Novelist, Speaks at Chapman University March 22
Chapman U's John Fowles Center for Creative Writing in partnership with Levantine Cultural Center will present Ms. Marcom, the author of three acclaimed novels, on Monday evening, March 22, at 7 pm, in the Leatherby Library, 2nd floor. Chapman University is located at 333 N. Glassell St., Orange CA 92866.
Micheline Aharonian Marcom was born in Saudi Arabia to an American father and Armenian-Lebanese mother. She grew up in Los Angeles but sometimes spent summers in Beirut with her mother's family. Her first novel, Three Apples Fell From Heaven, was a finalist for the PEN/Hemingway Foundation for first fiction prize. It was named a Notable Book of the year by the New York Times and one of the Best Books of 2001 by the Los Angeles Times and the Washington Post. Her other novels are The Daydreaming Boy and Draining the Sea.
