Wear comfortable clothes and prepare for a three-hour intense dance and exercise workshop. Javad Tehranian teaches vital exercises, infinity respiration, eye exercises, and body discipline, as well as symmetric and asymmetric movements by the method of divided attention, inner development, rhythmical contemplative movements, and the enchanting, euphoric Sama'a dance.
Kiyana, meaning “the origin”, is a system of movements and internal work coming from ancient Persia; it relates to the education and the complete development, the unity and oneness of the body, mind and spirit, cleanliness, purity, equilibrium, power, health of body, tranquility in the mind and subtility of the soul of human beings.
The ability to observe and recognize the level of the self-being and beyond.
Concentration and complete attention, divided attention, and presence.
Signification and apprehension of mysterious symbolic aspects and the dynamic geometry of the enneagram.
Perpetual, disciplinal, vital exercises, infinity respiration, eye exercises, body discipline, symmetric and asymmetric movements by the method of divided attention, inner development, rhythmical contemplative movements, and the enchanting, euphoric Sama'a dance.
Sama’a literally means “hearing” and refers to the ability to become attuned to and “hear” the sound which emanates from the source of all. When a real sound is heard a euphoric state appears in the heart of the hearer. Its power will manifest a perfect movement that is called Sama’a. It is generally thought that the Sama’a dance of whirling originated with Jelal-ad-Din Rumi in Turkey. Rumi was originally from the Persian city of Balkh and took refuge in Konya during his early life. The practice of whirling is much more ancient and predates the advent of Dervishism and Sufism by thousands of years.
The practical seminar of Kiyana Movements will be given so that those with interest will have a taste of the nectar of rejoicing.
