Twenty7's new CD PapatyaTwenty7 plays a unique blend of rock with Middle Eastern influences. The band formed in 2007 when a group of young and talented musicians met each other through mutual friends in Los Angeles, California. Comprised of members originally from Turkey, Twenty7 adds Middle Eastern flavor to rock, forming a unique style of music with strong rhythms, technical guitar riffs, and powerful vocals. Okan is the free-spirited vocalist and bass guitarist, Murat is the charming guitarist, Volkan is the down-to-earth darbuka percussionist, and Kurt is the perfectionist drummer.

The band performed to an audience of 35,000 people, appeared on national television networks including MTV and VH1, played as the house band for the legendary Whisky a Go Go, and recently put together its first CD of 5 songs.The Viper Room, 2010

Twenty7 completed its summer tour in Turkey in August 2010, performing at well-known venues such as Hayal Kahvesi, The Hall, and The Mask. Playing to an audience of 35,000 people, the band was also featured at the Foca Outdoor Rock Festival in Izmir, Turkey, alongside acclaimed Turkish music acts including Mogollar, Duman, maNga, and Kurban. The band appeared on national television networks, including MTV and VH1, and has been featured in a variety of magazines and online publications that include TimeOut, Vents Magazine, ViewBoxMagazine, Hurriyet Daily News, Haber Turk Gazete,Cumhuriyet, Radikal, and Star.
