Moe Fakih

Moe FakihMoe FakihMoe Fakih was born in Beirut, Lebanon and his family immigrated to Chicago from Sierra Leone, Africa on the fourth of July, 1977. The family's first impression of America was how nice Americans were by welcoming new immigrants with fireworks! Moe grew up in San Diego where he received his Bachelor's Degree in International Security and Conflict Resolution (ISCOR) from San Diego State University.

After spending a few years in sales and running his own company, he went back to SDSU and earned his Master's Degree in Urban Planning. While working as an urban planner in the Orange County area, he started his own green building consulting firm that specializes in energy conservation and construction. Moe is a LEED Accredited Professional, which means he is well-versed in building healthy, green interior spaces and converting buildings into energy-efficient assets. He is one of the few Arab Americans pushing the green envelope and has been labeled by some as the "Green Guy." He has been very active in the community acting as Chair to the US Green Building Council Orange County Chapter and is a member of NAAP (Network of Arab American Professionals).

In his free time he enjoys playing basketball, surfing, and drinking coffee in front of his laptop.
