Manar A. Fakhoury

Manar A. FakhouryManar A. FakhouryManar A. Fakhoury is a first generation Jordanian American. She graduated in 2006 with a double degree in Political Science and Theater from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, and is currently working on her masters in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Chicago. She has traveled many times to the Middle East and studied abroad at the American University Of Beirut (AUB) during 2005. At Loyola Marymount University she was part of the committee of Cultural Awareness and currently at University of Chicago is part of MESSA—Middle Eastern Studies Student Association. Along with her work experience she volunteers at There is Hope Foster Family Agency and also with JACC- Jordanian American Community of California. She is a Program Assistant at Levantine Cultural Center, where her work includes research, development and production of public arts programs.
